2008 winner was the yacht Aquila skippered by Alan Cairns - circumnavigated Skye in 23 hrs.
2009 winner.....Yacht Aquila in just under 24 hours. Only Aquila has entered this year. Seonaid was unable to complete race due to weather conditions and Galwyn ran out of time. Alan Cairns of Aquila will receive his trophy and prize before March. No entries in 2010 or 2011

Sightings 2011- Otters, dolphins, minke whale, common and grey seals.
Puffins, Skuas, Razor bills, Guillamots, Grelag geese, shags & cormorants, eider ducks, mergansers, ravens anf hooded crows, herons, golden Eagles, oyster catchers, swallows, dunlin, curlew to name a few of the usual suspects also Sea Eagle & Peregrine falcon,
Large shoals of millions of sandeels and big shoals of mackeral in hot pursuit. Jellyfish of all varieties in abundance. Lots of young herring. Largew shoals of Pollock and Saithe spotted.
