Glass Bottom Boat

The Unique Glass Bottom

Sitting below the waves, looking out through the large underwater panoramic windows, and actually being part of a whole new beautiful underwater world is an unforgettable experience for both adults and children alike. The underwater section of the boat is easily accessed, with good, strong handrails, staggered landings, and non-slip steps. There is full head-height, with bench seating beside 26 large underwater windows. Seaprobe Atlantis is a very unusual boat and took many months to design and more than a year to build, she remains the only boat of her type in the UK.

Our longer wildlife trips also include an opportunity to visit the World War II Shipwreck, HMS Port Napier, voted one of the best dive sites in the UK, but yours to explore from the Atlantis Glass Bottom Boat without getting wet. This 500’ long, 68’ wide minelayer was lost during the war and remains largely intact. These trips coincide with low tide periods only, so check the timetables before you book.

Our Local Wildlife 'above the waves'

Our aim is to show you as much wildlife as we can on all our trips. As well as the otters and seals, there are around 16 different species of birds, regular porpoise sightings, dolphins and whales are occasional, but very welcome visitors. Underwater we see various species of jellyfish, many different types of fish and crabs, star fish and sea urchins in amongst the beautiful kelp forest. We welcome the opportunity to show you all these wonders and share with you our knowledge of all the local 'wildlife above and below the waves'.
